Overview
Engineers Construction, Inc. in Williston, VT, is hiring Pipelayers with 2+ years of experience in civil construction. Applicants should have technical skills, including practical knowledge of heavy construction, pipeline construction, grading and layout, plan reading, and basic mechanics. A valid Vermont Driver’s License is required. A CDL driver’s license is a plus. Other certifications, such as forklift training, OSHA 10 or 30 hr, Rigging/Signalman, HazWOper, etc., are also valuable.

Most construction field jobs involve occasional heavy lifting, working with hand rakes and shovels, climbing in and out of trenches and equipment, and other physically demanding tasks.
First Day:
- New field employees must arrive with proper clothing, including a minimum of:
- Above-Ankle Boots
- Long Pants
- Sleeved shirt (long or short, but no sleeveless) with no offensive messages
- New employees must provide two valid forms of identification per the 1-9 Form.
- New employees will be given a DOT Physical at ECI’s occupational health provider.
- All CDL drivers and OQ gas workers will be drug & alcohol screened per DOT Regulations. Employment offers are contingent upon a clean test.
- New employee will attend an orientation program to provide an overview of ECI’s:
- Safety program,
- Fleet maintenance program,
- Administrative systems.
- New employee will be issued basic personal protective equipment:
- Hard Hat
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
- etc.
