A Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They help with everyday tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and community participation, while promoting independence and enhancing quality of life. Successful DSPs are characterized by their empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
