Overview
Community Health Centers is seeking full time, part time, and/or per diem Dental Hygienists to join the team at CHC’s Champlain Islands practice location. This site is nestled between the heart of Winooski and downtown Burlington, Vermont. CHC’s Dental Hygienists are responsible for evaluating patient oral health, dental/medical history, dental complaints, and completing dental hygiene procedures in a public health setting. Community Health Centers offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work amongst a tight-knit team of dental professionals providing equitable quality care to all.
Compensation commensurate with direct experience within the range of $40.02 to $51.28 per hour.
Basic Qualifications
Vermont State License in Dental Hygienist with Local Anesthetic Endorsement
Current CPR/AED Certification
3 years of experience desired, but not required; new graduates’ welcome!
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of oral hygiene and periodontal care
Ability to work and communicate with a large group of professionals; dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and leadership staff.
Knowledge of dental medical emergencies
Knowledge of public health, social and economic factors that impact the health and oral health of patients.
The ability to travel to other CHCB locations as necessary.

Dental hygiene specifics:
All adult prophies 60 min+ appointment time – provider (dental hygienist) has the ability to add time to appointments as necessary.
